I have some 4 years old Gen1 that long past showing their age. Was considering the Pros when they came on sale again...are these 2as worth their weight or is it better to wait?

Lack of touch control for volume is a huge con in my eyes. I like to leave my phone while I wander around the house, so not being able to adjust the volume was annoying. I went with the pro 2 when it was on sale for like 160 and have been enjoying it.

IMO, at least wait until the 12th when they announce a new wave of products. These are fine earbuds, but if they release new earbuds, then we might start to see more clearance deals for them. The Pro 2 vs these 2a buds are both great buds, though.

my gf has the gen 1, while I've been using the 2a's. IMO they are a night-day difference. The 2a's easily get twice the battery life, transparency mode is better than my WF-XM5's, and ANC is pretty decent too. If I had to guess, foam tips would make them just about on par with the sony's ANC. To me, the 2Pro features are really only worth an extra $20-$40, if they were ever to go on sale again; the 2a hits most of the checklist items for me

I have Gen 1 A's, Gen 1 Pros, and Gen 2 A's (these). These are my favorite of the three. They are the most comfortable (by far) they have the best ANC and transparency. The sound quality is pretty good, on par with the AirPod 4 ANC set I had (and lost).
