I use a similar case for a handful of commonly used batteries and items (AA, AAA, 9V, CR2032, old USB drives, etc) within easy reach for the family, while keeping the rest of the batteries (bought in bulk from Costco, Amazon, etc) in storage or basement. No need for those fancy battery cases as we don't consume a lot of batteries.
