How watertight are they? For example, if I put a freshly washed salad in them, is any water that settles likely to leak if it gets thrown in a bookbag? Not planning on storing true liquids like soup.

Not very. I just checked a couple I put in the fridge and I must not have lined the lid with the bottom perfectly and now the lid is like bent. Also they're kinda small for a salad.

Thanks and all good points, especially the size concern. I hadn't thought about that. I did look at photos and did not see any kind of gasket so I assumed they might leak for my use case.
