HA molecules are too big to be absorbed. Even fragmented ones don't go much deeper. It's a complete scam. There's more effective ingredients that do the job HA is claimed to do. I don't know how this ingredient got so popular when it's a scam

I didn't know this existed until the other day when I saw a few people mention that HA works great as a cologne primer. I don't really know the skincare science behind it.

That is largely nonsense. If you want the very minimal impact of a "primer" you can just apply your moisturizer/lotion first like you would anyways or use vaseline in the spot you want to spray.
