There are multiple things to put into it so you actually have to read the instructions to know which layer goes in which slot
Run it a couple of times before you actually cook food in it. There were some minor plastic-ky smells the first 2-3 times which diminished with each use.
That is it.
This thing is a huge space saver and when it tilts up, it really does leave a lot of space on the counter.
I tried to go into a rabbit hole to figure out which one to buy a few months ago. I ended up with the 'Costco' version, which is the $57 version (has electronic controls on the right) and the Costco version will fit a 13" pizza vs the bottom controls one will fit a 12" pizza.
The bottom control(s) one is generally sold at Sam's, Kohls, Amazon. And I've read other places that if you register the Costco version on Ninja's website, it's basically the same model as the bottom controlled one. That's my story~
Oh yeah, I really do like it so far & yeah if you're going to make frozen french fries, just raise the temp what a normal Egg shaped one would be. Works fantastic so far.

This was an excellent purchase for my apartment.
My issues with it were minor.
