I miss the old crust, but the old sauce was trash. Growing up my grandparents would only get domino's, and I hated it cause the sauce would give me the worst kind of heartburn (didn't know wtf it was at the time) as a kid/preteen.

The new sauce isn't much better, but if I really need an easy dinner, it's right next to this mom and pop grocery store in my town. $9.99 for a pizza loaded with extra chicken, bacon, extra pepperoni and extra cheese. Don't know if it's just my store, but it rivals many local good pizza spots in my opinion, especially for 60% cheaper.

Make sure to check with your local franchises to see if they offer franchise deals. These are deals they usually display on posters at the restaurant, but isnt shown on the web site/app. We have a couple locations that offer "$10 Tuesdays" which is basically the same $9.99 deal that just expired. But, since it's a franchise only deal, you cant order it through the app/website, you have to call it in/order it in person and is usually pick up only.

That would be the time period that anything from central and south america that was made with tomatoes went super cheap. But to keep the shelf life, they added a bunch of citric acid to it. Dominos, Pizza Inn, Simple Simon's, and some other chains started buying the cheap sauce to save money to try to compete with Pizza Hut and Little Caesars. Dominos was the only one smart enough to switch back to American/Mexican tomatoes in time, the others died off. Killed off a couple frozen pizza companies too.

This us not a good deal when you consider they created a ridiculous MSRP for the pizza. Hope they put out a better deal since I call a $10 Pizza a $10 pizza. So, since they are a $10 pizza.....
