The current consensus seems to be the bespoke line fixes many of the issues Samsung had (ice maker, etc). Compared to other brands in the same price range (LG with their compressors, etc) they dont seem any better or worse than other brands these days.

And if you people don't want to listen to us, get the extended warranty. You WILL need it.

I didn't listen to the slickdealers 5 years ago, but I did get the warranty.

Used it at least 6 times for the Samsung washer, and didn't get it use it for the Samsung fridge before it expired. My fridge compressor (I think) is on ALL the time. (Couldn't find a broken seal) And the Samsung refuses to cover it under the 8 or 10 year compressor warranty.

edit: no issues with Samsung dryer yet
