Wow this is tempting!

Supposed to be great on guitar or bass:

If you don't care about it being new, these run about $100 used on reverb

Depends on what you need and want. Look at a used TC electric hyper gravity or mini hyper gravity. For about $60 you can get lots of compressor options in a single box including spectral compression. And if will to do some tweaking you can adjust lists of hidden parameters and basically create your own comp and save it using a computer and the time print app.

Interesting sounds cool. But I work in IT during the day so any computer/phone to tweak the settings seems more like work than fun music time.

I'm an IT manager/consultant. The point is the option is there if you want to tweak it one time to create something hyper tailored to you.

You can also use the pedal without ever connecting a computer or phone and it has enough knobs to tweak there too.

Point is the pulp is only one type of compression you either like it or you don't. The gravity lets you chose what type of comp you want loaded.

I've been playing for over 35 years and owned at least 10 compressors, the gravity is fantastic for the sub $200 price range and it sell for $60 used.

I'm with you on this. I work in accounting, but still my brain is too tired for a hobby that requires more than turning a few knobs.

sound/compression aside, pulp n peel has an XLR output which is its own unique thing, as well as a Rat/dirt circuit

I think you're looking at older versions. V4 "estimated range" says $121-179 currently
