I bought some to clean out my espresso machine and it worked like magic. And since then, I've cleaned several other things with it. I think every house should have citric acid in it for water deposits.

Citric Acid is good for several various uses including what you're mentioning as laundry detergent is basic (pH 7 to 11) and going the opposite of that would help cut down on soap scum left behind from human oils, hard water, and lint. I think it's better than acetic acid (vinegar) on rubber seals etc. Citric acid is gentler on components in general. Good stuff!

Yup, me too. Don't need to buy those expensive descaler products they market for espresso machines, this works just the same. And good for descaling electric kettles too.
