While I agree that this should be cheaper, it's not true they are unknown. Canyon cycles is German so they're big in Europe, and are making gains in presence here in N.A.

For a name-brand mid-drive ebike, this is a solid deal. My only pause is that Canyon has a spotty record with after-sale warranty service and, being direct-to-consumer, they obviously don't have actual brick and mortar shops you can bring it to.
