I thought all the MVNOs went to 365 days before they'll unlock their phones now. Who unlocks after 2 months in July 2026?
Mint is 60 days of active service. Auto unlock on day 61 according to their website.

My S20 is on cellular hospice. This is an expensive year for me but my phone is about to bite the big one.

I purchased a used S25 edge (about 80 days old) in Feb for $550. Went down the rabbit hole of thin phones and purchased an iPhone Air in April for daily usage. Work/personal separation helps when it's 2 devices.

Where the S25 Edge is better:
  1. Battery life: I use 95% limit on both devices and the S25 Edge does last longer. Faster to charge.
  2. Camera: The S25 Edge, especially the 0.6x outdoes the iPhone Air for photography and videos, that I find myself naturally reaching for it when capturing a moment.
  3. Speakers/Mic: The S25 Edge has dual speaker/stereo recording - Videos (capture and playback) are better than the iPhone Air's mono mic. Calling on loudspeaker/conferencing is easier too.
Where the S25 Edge suffers:
  1. Bloatware - Too much of it, unwarranted and unyielding. Have to disable, remove, uninstall a bunch of crap. The google + samsung version of everything is just BS. And google needs to think of new iconography for their icons.
  2. UI/UX - Samsung suffers here. Too much background processes, tracking telemetry slows down the whole experience. Even with animations/transitions set to 0.5 it's slower than my older OnePus 13. Samsung needs to de-bloat their builds and software.
  3. Display/touch response - While Samsung S25 Edge does carry the bigger display, the iPhone Air's just feels right and snappier. The colors are better on the iPhone air.
The slim/sleek form factor? People ask you more about the S25 edge than the iPhone Air.

No, the edge is not a higher flagship. The S25+ is thicker, heavier, has a bigger battery for longer battery life, has a telephoto lens and better glass for the screen. The edge has a better main camera. They have the same processor, same RAM, same screen resolution, etc.

BTW:

Can anyone confirm which shipper Woot usually uses for their phones?
It's UPS I got the 25 fe from them last week. I should have waited for this deal dammit

Samsung bloatware is too much. I don't understand why we need 2 of every basic app with Google and Samsung.

Anyone know the difference between the edge model compared to the plus model?

Does the edge use a snapdragon chip?
Google this yourself

Wouldn't say it's a good deal. Got the 512gb for around 500 past November(used).
If you're planning to use it for trade-in, it has a horrible TIV.
Pro: lightweight, had issues with pain my pinky the way I hold my phone using the ultra series. That issue is gone now. Easy to take phone in/out of pocket.
Con: battery life is much shorter. No zoom lens.

This is a batshit awesome deal on a phone that is basically a distilled and sexier version of the S25 Ultra. Battery life on this one is pretty good too. I don't understand all these nerds here trying to force you onto random Mint Mobile plans. For a no-fuss, unlocked phone, this is the best price out there.

Batshit awesome? Force people? Really now.

Yes informing others that by spending a whole $14 more they could get unlimited data plan for an entire year AND a newer Samsung device. God what a monster I am.

With dual SIMs people can have two entirely different networks running so when they're somewhere with bad service on say ATT? The Tmo network can be used instead.
