I read this book as part of a professional development session for teachers. I'll say this. If you can get over the fact that the author comes off as a huge deuschbag, constantly reminding the readers that he was a fighter pilot and that companies need to adapt or die ("they didn't listen to me...6 months later they were out of business"), the process is quite simple and effective.
We use the SCRUM board for our weekly meetings (called PLCs in the educational world) and I will say that our efficiency has nearly doubled. For $2, I'd recommend the book I guess. The meat if it is great, the author...meh.
For $1.99 it's a good book. But literally the last chapter contains all you need. Useful if you're in a scrum environment. Not sure I buy some of the stories here and he glosses over some serious scrum issues. But still useful if you're working in that kind of environment OR you really feel it's the best option to institute
