So I did the chat gpt, and it said it's a decent set, then said it was on sale for $35 recently. Pretty nifty tidbit, told me to wait until that sale comes back if not needed asap, which I don't.

Did you find independent proof of that price, and if so, when? I searched and there was a set for about $38 at AliExpress last November, but that set didn't have the flex heads which are very helpful.

I bought the flex head set through AliExpress in June 2025 for $41 plus another $9 cash back (net $32). The heads flex, but aren't floppy. I'm not sure I'd call it a mechanic grade set, but for most homeowners it's going to be very serviceable and a bargain at that price.

According to my amazon price tracker, the lowest new price has been 81.

EDIT: I just realized I was looking at the Flex Head Nickle Plating version.

I got the same set and it is awesome! I used the ratcheting end of the 17mm wrench to loosen a brake caliper bolt that was torqued to around 40ft lbs and it did it without breaking which surprised me. Workpro seems to be somewhere between the quality of Bauer & ICON from Harbor Freight, but costs even less than those. I have around 10 Workpro tools now and they are all quite good quality and cost around the price of the Pittsburg equivalent.

I have the nickel set back from the Ali deal, and it was about $36 shipped. I never use the ratcheting side to break anything free, and but all but one wrench has worked well. I get that things happen, and I'm guessing the pawl is messed up somehow in the wrench as it either spins freely, and other times it won't ratchet at all.

It took well over 15 sent emails, and over 3 weeks of back and forth to finally get them to honor their warranty and replace my defective 3/8" wrench. After 2 more weeks shipping from China, I did finally receive my replacement.

Just letting people know I was NOT impressed with how they handled their 'lifetime warranty' on a faulty from new product.

How firm is the flex-head? Any detents, the big set I have now is so loose at that flex makes it difficult to use. I have a smaller set and they are nice and tight at the flex and seem to stay on the hardware easier. If they had detents so not all 'flippy-floppy' then might be in for a set.
