Not for $60. Cheaper alternative. Not the best but works good enough

12.5W real energy consumption.

On a side note I feel, Hue line up is dated and a scam.

Only time I've seen cheaper has been clearance sales. Good find. Yes, hue is expensive. But it's one of the best -- if not the best -- smart home ecosystem.

Criticize it until you use it…

then you realize why it costs so much. Nothing comes close in term of clarity and reliability

Shows $95.95 for me. I have hue stuff since about 2018. However anytime I want to add a brighter bulb or add something in my home I don't got with Hue. Stuff is too expensive compared to other bulbs out there and not just by a little but alot. Plus everything works with Alexa and Google directly now anyway.

I know hue is going to be better I get that but the Govvee are over half the cost.

I have 20 Hue bulbs installed since 2017. They were super expensive back then, I also have 16 LIFX, they don't need a hub they are just as good in CRI and don't need a hub.

I broke down and bought 2 of hues brightest bulbs. They are 15w and finally feel like a normal bright bulb. It's a shame they are so outrageously priced. I will say though hue bulbs last longer than any other bulb on the market. I still have my first hue bulb from over a decade ago and it works the same as day 1.

Ecosystem aside, I have a bunch of hue lights (white, with variable color temp) controlled by home assistant via zigbee. Hue bulbs produce color accurate light due to their high CRI leds. Makes them much easier on the eye than the cheaper alternatives, and makes it easier to see even at low light settings. Another reason is, even though i own multiple generations of hues now, when i set them all to 2800k, they are all producing identical 2800k light and i dont have to fiddle and calibrate them to match. I dont have them anymore, but the rgb variants produced beautiful, vibrant colors as well. Though Rgb lights on white setting will be less bright than plain, or even temperature variable version of the bulb.
