Code appears to work for multiple cards. This same card is $43 on Amazon. Seems like a decent deal.

How does this brand compare to name brands (Samsung, etc.). I've only heard of them from SD and the name reminds me of something from South Park. πŸ˜†

edit: Multiple replies say Team Group cards are unreliable - data randomly corrupts, suspected to be QA rejects from name brands (which would explain repeated data corruptions, usually silent, with this brand). It doesn't seem worth the risk of data loss, for the savings when my use doesn't even require that much storage and I'd rather prioritize brand data reliability over storage size. Thank you to everyone who replied before I edited! πŸ‘

Team group products fail without warning and have higher than normal failure rate

Samsung, etc usually high quality. Team group known for cutting corners and high failure rate (many times without warning)

in todays market yes I suppose - they were 14.99 nov 2025 and probably hit lower prior to this time before the big run up

They'll fail on you out of the blue. Had the 1tb version fail on my switch in like half a year

But Samsung along with their buddies Micron and SK Hynix are currently participating in price fixing, ruining the consumer market. We are stuck between paying these greedy ghouls or buying low tier trash. We can't even speak with out wallet.

They are spending much of their time manufacturing goods for data/AI centers. They're doing it because the demand is high, which reduces capacity to manufacture new memory/storage goods.

Who do you think makes the NAND that goes in this low tier trash.

In my experience, Team Group MicroSD cards and USB flash drives are awful. The majority of the ones I've tested have corrupted data, often silently.

After hearing this from multiple people, I'll pass. I don't need a fast card, just a reliable one. So, I went with a slow, but name brand card from Microcenter, instead. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback!

They're a budget brand.

At best, they buy up and resell old stock of last gen flash chips. Though I suspect they mostly buy up "binned" parts that fail to meet full quality inspection for bigger brands like Samsung, Sandisk, Lexar, etc. I think for some stuff like RAM that rarely fails, it's fine. But for flash memory, I'd probably look elsewhere.
