Yeah, the black one was the only model on sale, but it came out to $11.99 before tax for me with coupon and whatnot. CA can be weird sometimes as I know having lived there for a long time... but was true to me where I ordered.

Did you apply the coupon code? For me it came out to 17.14 without the code but 12.98 (including tax) with the code.

My altec Lansing hydrajolt 2.0 is still going strong but I looked it up with gemini Ai and it said these generic 20w speakers claim peak wattage meaning the true rms is 5-10watts while the altec Lansing pushes 12w rms, 6w rms per speaker. Not sure how true that is but everyone on SD was crapping all over the altec Lansing speakers when they were $10-$20. Yes, they're lacking bass and may sound a bit distorted at high volumes, but haven't seen anyone suggest alternative Bluetooth speakers at the $10-$20 range.
