I have three pro 6's, and wanting to upgrade. According to chaptgpt, eero 7 is not worth the upgrade yet. Any non-AI opinions?

I've got two of the eero 6 routers and two eero 6 repeaters. I WFH, and regularly have close to 50 Wi-Fi devices connected, including lots of smart switches and outlets, with no reliability or coverage problems. The Pro 7 would make more sense if you have multi-gig internet, Wi-Fi 7 devices, heavy local-network transfers, or actual congestion or coverage problems. Otherwise, I would probably keep the Pro 6s until they become a real bottleneck rather than upgrading just because a newer generation is available.

Why are you wanting to upgrade? Are you having speed issues? Dead zones? Are your nodes Ethernet backhauled? Did you space the nodes out well? The 6ghz freq does do higher max speeds but you shouldn't notice the speed difference in 99% of uses

Can you trade-in any router? Like a 15 year-old Linksys? Or a single Eero node?

I upgraded to these in early May and they're great. Good connection strength around the house, and I'm not getting the high lag issue I was experiencing with my old Nest Wifi system and a new TP mesh system I tried. Only criticisms I've found with these are 1) it updates often (which isn't a bad thing, but sometimes you need to ok the updates) 2) some features which are free with other brands require an Eero+ subscription. I let mine expire and don't miss it - ad blocking wasn't great, the device level analytics would be nice but I'm ok without them and I didn't use the other features.

Yes, gateways are included per https://www.bestbuy.com/site/recy...7300657381. For me they accepted a netgear satellite.

Depends on your use cases. I went from about 300mbit speeds on my laptop to about 800mbit upgrading from eero 6 to eero 7 pro. Note there are three versions of eero 7 (standard, pro-this one, and max) . I agree with not really worth it for for eero 6 to eero 7. Disagree about eero 6 to eero 7 pro at this price.
