Both the tower and the top Atmos speakers are 4 ohms, so don't use these with any receivers that go into Limp Mode if they experience loads lower than 8ohms.

They recommend 100+ watts, so everyone who bought the Monolith 7x90 or 2x90 will be good since at 4 ohms, those amps put out 135 watts per channel.

I agree, paying an extra $400 for those built in Atmos enabled modules over the 460s likely won't pay off ime.
They are not versatile, better off using external modules ime.
They are more versatile with placement & many can be used in a height position for Atmos also.

The 460s are out of stock.
A good alternative would be Emotiva's XT1 or XT3.

FYI I setup the XT1 with the 7100 & XT3 with RZ50.
Never heard any limp mode issue with either.
No real surprise, no one has ever reported doing so over on AVS or ASR on any of the affected PAC units.

So has the Monolith THX line been discontinued? It seems that way from their site.

Seems like, unfortunately. Were an excellent value.

Sure looks that way.

So for anyone thinking of building a surround system with these, be prepared to use a different brand center because the "matching" 365c is also nowhere to be found on their website.

More than nowhere to be found, I had it saved in case it came back in stock and a day or two ago received an email that it was out of production. Hopefully they do a new line. In such a snake oil industry this stuff (especially on sale) was a godsend.

I also got that same email from Monoprice saying the center was out of production.

My guess is that with the tariff situation and oil prices going nowhere but up, they decided that it would be unsustainable to continue offering a high quality 3 way center like that for the $400-500 it normally sold for...probably very thin margins.

Closest available equivalent would be the SVS Prime center at $450, which SVS uses as a gateway product for their deliberately overpriced bookshelves and towers, sold on the "brand matching equals timbre matching" sales gimmick.

Maybe just get another 465t, remove the base foot, and cut the speaker body to whatever height fits below the screen. Then reattach the base and it will look very 'stock'.

Or maybe mount it sideways like a sound bar.

If you own a wood router, you could even turn the tweeter assembly 90* upright in your new sound bar (if you feel that it matters sound wise).

Endless possibilities....

Unfortunately there really isn't a good alternative.

If you went SVS, probably better off to switch to them entirely.

Their Prime towers were significantly less than this price during their outlet sales(currently less).
Especially if you were open to slight blemish.
They would actually "match" with the center, much easier to drive, more options, much better warranty & CS!

If you actually wanted to use the built-in Atmos modules, SVSs are significantly better, more versatile & you could add them at any time later(on a sale).

I had the monolith T6 Encore with their 3 way center from this line of speakers and was very impressed. I wish I kept them but the speakers I demoed them against didn't have free returns and the wife was already upset with how much I spent, lol

Sometimes a deal expires, and it takes Mono a few hours to update their webpage (although their order page already knows).

I bought the SW-15 Subwoofer and M2100X Amplifier in a previous slick deal. They sent me used, damaged items. Just a heads up, don't expect new speakers.
