I don't think it would be easy to find a comparable new bike for under $300. Reviews are a bit mixed- some people are having issues with wheels that need work (or replacement).

just fyi this is not the same bike that gets great YouTube reviews. that's the m.2 pro, also not to be confused by the m.2.

I just checked because of your comment and it is in stock. I don't recommend buying any bikes from Walmart though as they have substandard builds and too many issues to type out. From trying out other products from ozark trail I would especially recommend avoiding this bike as that cheapo company makes the worst products.

Thanks a lot for the info! I've just spent 30 minutes to get to know the M2 Pro. Best bang for the buck with great reviews. I just have to find one in stock. Size large 🙂

I can't understand why anyone would buy a non-electric bike in 2026.

Because I'm not fat and if I give myself the easy choices I'd be fat. If I bike 20 miles out guess who has to bike 20 miles to get home. Me, baby, me.

For under $300, this is a decent entry-level bike if you're just riding around the neighborhood or on paved trails. Just don't expect the components to compare with bikes from Trek, Giant, or Specialized that cost several times more.
