TLDR: I went with the max 2 because of price, Superior daylight video quality, and user replaceable lenses.
When the deal came up from best buy with the open box max 2 for about $250, I jumped at that. But my main thought process that made me choose the max 2 was that the max 2 is better at daylight video and 90% of my videos are in the day. Secondly, the max 2 has user replaceable lenses. For the DJI, you have to send it in and that can take 6 weeks but also DJI does support the US market officially because of politics. This was actually one of my more important considerations when choosing the max 2 because this was a big miss on DJIs part. One small scratch on a 360 action camera lens will ruin it.
Just my two cents. I hope this helps somebody.
