I tried ordering a Moto Stylus last month under their previous no-port required deal. They charged my card and never delivered the phone. Multiple calls to customer service went nowhere ("it shouldn't take this long..."). One person finally told me that they oversold them and that all orders were cancelled, yet they never refunded my money. I finally did a chargeback on my CC a few days ago.
Not worth bothering with Total Wireless. And good luck if you actually try to port a number. Tons of stories in recent months about TW losing the numbers because they screwed up the process somewhere.

Same thing happened to me back in February.
Ordered a device, got charged, never got it, and was given the run-around. They pretty much said on the phone "yes, we took your money. No, we're not sending it to you. if you don't like it, talk to your bank. but if you do that, we'll cancel your other lines."
I did the chargeback. I didn't have any other lines with them.
they also raised the price and conditions after canceling everyones orders sounds like class action worthy to me, I wonder how many of us they did this to? I might make some social media posts to see if I can find out if it was done to enough to create a class
I have multiple Verizon prepaid brands phones that should have unlocked but they are trying to retroactively apply new 60 days paid service and 1 year from purchase rule. I'm sure there's many out there..
Total Wireless has horrific customer service. They lose phone numbers, don't honor promos, have clueless, inept customer service you can barely understand with limited hours, don't ever reply to you on chats sometimes during working hours, don't ship out phones for weeks that showed up as in stock. If you'd like to listen to a rep tell you "one moment while I check my tools" like 8,000 times in a phone call, & you utterly hate yourself & have entire days to deal with them, Total might work.
FYI, check your local Targets. They clearanced a ton of Total prepaid phones, I saw the A16 for under 20, and a Moto but I don't recall what type. If you're near one, may be worth checking if you plan to use Total or Visible.
I've been using her A36 since I bought it with MintMobile BF sale. It's showing real age. Running Teams and Outlook at the same time slows things down enough that I'm constantly closing he apps and reopening. The A16 must be horrid since it has less memory.
I did a warranty replacement sent my unlocked phone and received a locked phone 12 months of service is required to unlock. I'd avoid unless ready to switch.
I have visible and I have the Samsung a16. Thing is laggy but I was trying to go for the Motorola with higher ram. Yeah I completely missed that i have to change carrier. I'm ok on visible
I had a unique situation where I was going to be out of the country for a few weeks and one of the c/b sites was offering high cashback for total. I did not want to use my daily phone; beaches and some areas where theft was a concern so I got the moto stylus to use for a month as a burner. The total wireless plan that was required to get the phone free had 20 gb of international data that worked in the countries I would be visiting. I was very impressed. Camera was solid in good light and the phone was smooth. I could not detect any lag. I am not a gamer so it was just typical apps like YouTube, chrome, HBO max, etc...
Also I just went to the visible site and put the IMEI in and it said it would work. I so wish moto would get serious about security updates, the hardware is very good.

Moto G Stylus 2025: Not Accepted (pretty sure Google doesn't accept it either towards Pixels)
