For those wondering.... They come with a removable 18650 3.7v 1800 mAh battery. The housing is all aluminum, and the flashlight appears to be surprisingly well made. The LCD display is easily readable, and the LED puts a very decent, though not spectacular (you are not going to light up the woods with it) beam. At $5, given the removable / replaceable battery, and all other attributes, these are very slick flashlights IMO.

I ordered them also. The charge doesn't last very long, but at least you can monitor them. Also, they randomly turn off if you tap them against something.

1800mah is an incredibly low capacity for an 18650 battery

meh... junk flashlights with fake numbers and gimicky addons (display, zoom, etc). MIght be worth $5 each, but not a particularly hot deal.

It's a $5 flashlight, what were you expecting, a 5$ battery inside? Every flashlight I've looked at under $10 has come with an 1800 mAh battery, which is fine for most household use, or walking the dog, etc. At least with these you can always replace or upgrade the battery down the road with whatever you want.

Not that unusual for a industrial (not labeled for consumer) li-ion never meant to be removed and only charged while in-place to be on the low side. 1800mAh isn't even all that low (though there's a good chance it's also inflated). While 2000-3000mAh is more common when the battery details are specified, I've found unbranded ones that were marked 1200mAh that end up closer to just under 1000 when tested (Ignoring the fakes half filled or that put a tiny battery inside a much larger 18650 with added sand or other fillers.) Li-ion batteries with 3000mAh or more are really usually more premium (Samsung, Panasonic, or specialty brands) and marketed more directly to end users.

Got the deal... I got a four headlamps and a big flashlight but none of these small ones anymore... for 5 bucks each and not having to deal with rechargeable batteries is nice and these are always great to have on hand.
