I've been in 4 different Ollie's locations. None of them were nasty like that but the neatness certainly varied, and some are a sloppy mess. Not sticky floor and cockroach disgusting, but merchandise everywhere (stacked on floors, pallets blocking aisles, stuff knocked down all over, etc.), just a difficult shopping experience. The second closest one to home is actually decent, and the closest one is a bit sloppy but has improved enough to be tolerable.

maybe that's the word i was looking for instead of disgusting. it reminded me of what kmart was before it went under. i definitely got bed bug vibes from some of the rugs and other furniture items.

I have a local Ollie's but after going in there I can find 90% of the things sold there cheaper at Walmart or Dollar General.

place isn't a boutique, but was able to get fiberglass shovels, solid for housework for $5, brand name hoses like Scotts, miracle grow, sprinklers, sprayer attachments for 1/3 the cost.

Lot of things I wouldn't buy there, but you have to be reasonable about these things.

I Ike their high pressure hose wand from Simoniz. I think it's a house brand. I use it for everything outside.

They haven't gotten any new figures in about 2 years. Same old stock.

I was buying their Anita's paint, which was discontinued, it went from a 4 pack of2oz bottles for .99 to $1.99 a bottle. It wasn't even that price new lol.

Kmart was pretty well put together, until the mergers and acquisitions; that's when things went downhill.
I haven't had an experience like yours at Ollie's, but it's a bit chaotic at all their stores, I tell myself it's part of the experience lol.

The one thing I always get from Ollie's is Simoniz beam wiper blades. Quiet, long-lasting, and under $10 a blade.
