I have returned many of my Tapo cameras bc they don't detect mention as well as my Blinks. The 2k is nice, but motion detection is obviously one of the more important pieces. That said, I have kept some of them bc of the ability to store directly to a MicroSD. They're great for monitoring pets or seeing you left the garage door open (specific use-case scenario for me). I do not trust them for anti-theft, however.

Conversely my hybrid cam duo has been significantly more effective than my blink camera it replaced. If I have the sensitivity too high it can pick up rain drops or small birds.
Not to mention the alerts come in way quicker and the live view/clips is significantly faster to load.

I personally own 11 Tapo cameras, from wired to battery to solar. I've only encountered one issue and that was when the WiFi signal was weak. Once I switched to a mesh router the problems all went away. For the price, you really can't beat it. I used to be a Eufy fan but I had several die on me, so I switched them all out. Just my .02, ymmv.

Agreed, wish they would implemt more AI recognition for the motion detection to get rid of false alerts like for plants and trees moving around and shadows of them. Is blink better with this?

Was just about to buy one, then realized no ethernet port.
Wi-Fi not going to work on my metal garage opposite side of my house.
