Had to return this, whenever it was on and I was within 100 feet, it would just beep uncontrollably

I have 3 other stud finders from Zircon that range from simple led lights to lcd displays. After taking the time to learn how to use the Dewalt stud finder, the Dewalt is the first I grab.

This is the worst stud finder I have ever purchased. Doesn't even beep when I wave it on my chest.
all jokes aside this is absolute rebranded temu stud finder trash. Dewalt needs to stop selling it, it doesn't work. I honestly think you'll lose more $ in time lost trying to find a stud then it would cost to just buy a Franklin stud finder.

You throw this stud finder at the wall as hard as you can. If there's a hole all the way through, aim to the side and try again.

Using your knuckles, try tak tak and then again tak tak and one more time tak tak, you will know where the stud is.

Little tip I figured out that made stud finders a bit mote reliable... Test directly left or right of an outlet.

Junction boxes for outlets are mounted to studs, so you can easily find one by testing the area adjacent to the outlet. Once located, studs should be spaced 16" apart.

That said, nothing is foolproof. Ditch this garbage and get a Franklin instead (borrowed my friend's ProSensor 710+ to run Ethernet in my walls, it was worth every cent he spent).

I have this and it's not very reliable. If I go over the same area multiple times it will show the stud in a different spot each time.

Think I can borrow your friend's ProSensor 710+ too?
