The co-main event last night is why I watch the UFC but the main event is why I'm going to quit. Chimaev gave up after the first round and Strickland won the fight by just throwing a jab. What pisses me off the most is that their feud was all fake. They're actually buddies. What a joke. I'm no longer a fan of the UFC.

They said that Chimaev had to cut 50 pounds to make weight for last night's fight. It's ridiculous for him to fight as a middleweight when he should be a heavyweight. I can't imagine anybody watching Chimaev's next fight. If the UFC is dumb enough to schedule him, it should be the opening fight on the early prelims and they should give him Cody Brundage or Sam Alvey but he'd still lose.

Vons has the 48 ct plastic silverware on sale for 99 cents as part of the $4/4 deal. I've been waiting a year for this and I was down to my last pack of forks! Tillamook ice cream is $3.99 and part of the $4/4 deal. It's nice to only have to buy 1 (Vons usually has ice cream on a buy 2 deal). For some reason, I've been on an ice cream kick. I can't get enough of it. I have ice cream every day but, surprisingly, I haven't gained any weight and I'm not complaining! I had a great shopping trip at CVS. They paid me to get shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, and Neutrogena lip. It was fantastic to finally have a great trip after so many disappointing ones where nothing would go right.

I've seen hardly any promotion for the big Netflix MMA card on Saturday. There was a lot more interest in Strickland vs Chimaev last Saturday. I'll never figure out MMA fans. They love Strickland and hate Rousey but they're basically the same person lol. I actually agree with Rousey much more than Strickland. Rousey's opinions about the UFC are right on but Strickland is driving me crazy with the real men stuff. Real men don't have fake feuds to sell fight tickets. I don't know how I can continue to be a fan of the UFC when they lie to me. Strickland is going to be out for a long time with a shoulder injury and I'd like to see him get a 6 month suspension on top of it. On the Netflix card, I've got Rousey, Francis, and Perry but I'd love to see Francis get upset. I think that Francis has been bad for the sport. He complains about fighter pay and then makes 10 million or more to get KO'd by Anthony Joshua.

I wish Randall's had the plastic utensils for 99 cents! As far as I can see, we aren't getting the $4/4 deal.

I forgot to mention that Vons has the Febreze Plug starter kit w/refill on clearance for $8.49 (50% off) and there's a $5 dq. They have Lavender and Refresh/Energize.

If Netflix does this again, they should stick to the high quality matches and skip the fillers. Except for the first 2 fights, the prelims were good and better than the main card. I want to see Jason Jackson, Salahdine Parnasse, and Narno Fazil fight again. The Adriano Moraes fight was crazy.

He's the worst fighter in the UFC. It's funny to watch him fight because he's so bad. He must have nude photos of Dana White to still have a job. The UFC isn't giving its viewers what they want which is why so many people are looking for something else to watch. Netflix definitely has the opportunity to make something happen today but I don't think that this card is going to do it. I hope I'm wrong.
As long as Dana White has nothing to do with it, I hope it is a great success!

The first 2 fights weren't very good but I enjoyed the rest of the prelims. On the main card, Junior dos Santos shouldn't have been fighting. The rest of the card went as expected. The commentator was awful. He kept on making bad jokes and rap references. I'd give the card a C but it beats most of the UFC cards these days.

I'll skip my UFC rant. It's the only show in town so I guess we're stuck with it. Netflix won't be a realistic alternative but they can have big events every now and then. This card was mostly ex-UFC fighters and fighters that are very good but too old for the UFC to sign. An example is Jason Jackson. I'd love to see what he could do in the UFC but he's 35. Ronda Rousey and Francis Ngannou are 39. Nate Diaz is 41 and Gina Carano is 44. I would like to see Ronda fight Amanda and Holly again but maybe her 17 second win over Gina is all she needs to be happy.

The two fights I'd like to see on the next Netflix card are Jon Jones vs Francis Ngannou and Ronda Rousey vs Amanda Nunez. I doubt that it's possible but it really would be something.

My reaction to every fight on the Netflix card. Yes, I watched the whole thing lol...

Prelims

1st fight - some action but not much skill.

2nd fight - typical low level women's fight

3rd fight - Mgoyan was very good

4th fight - Jackson should be in the UFC

5th fight - great fight and what an ending!

6th fight - a grudge fight that actually was a grudge fight (unlike the UFC where it's all fake)

Main card

1st fight - shouldn't have happened

2nd fight - Parnasse is amazing

3rd fight - squash match for Francis

4th fight - unless you like seeing Diaz bleed there was no point to it

5th fight - squash fight for Ronda

Announcers - they get a F especially Mauro

Crowd - nobody was there

Overall grade - C mostly because the main event with Ronda was such a letdown. I wanted to see more than 17 seconds. Gina didn't even throw a punch.

How can Netflix improve - 3 hour card (instead of 6 hours), have every fight on Netflix (the prelims were on YT), only good fights - no squash matches, fresh fighters (not UFC rejects), better announcers - get rid of Mauro and Ariel

I had a crazy day. There was a mandatory evacuation due to a fire in the hills. We watched it from the balcony and we could see the flames and the sky was covered with smoke. It was all over local tv. The fire dept was awesome and bombed the fire with water and chemicals and prevented a major disaster. They changed the evacuation area to 2 miles away from us so we didn't have to leave.

I'm going to have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning. I practically live there these days. I've had chest pain for the last 3 days and I'm so tired that I can barely get out of bed.

Sorry you're not feeling well these days. I haven't needed it, so haven't looked into it, but in our area, if you are disabled, need power for medical purposes or are unlikely to be able to evacuate without assistance, there's a list you can be put on. I am not sure who from our city is assigned to provide the assistance, but supposedly it is an automated system to get the process started so people don't have to reach out for help. You might see if you have something like that near you.

Everything is back to normal this morning. The fire is smoking a little bit but other than that you wouldn't know that it happened. The fire dept did an awesome job yesterday.
