Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac was attacked by a stalker yesterday. The stalker sprayed something at Buckingham and then ran away. The stalker wasn't showing Lindsey any Big Love. When asked for comment about the incident, Stevie Nicks said it's just Rumours.

Dash Crofts of Seals & Crofts has passed away. He was 87. Seals & Crofts are famous for Summer Breeze (1972) and Diamond Girl (1973). They are great songs and helped to define an era.

I heard this the other day on 70's on 7 from sirius xm. That's mostly the music channel I listen to. I still think the music from the 70's decade is the best. At least most of the lyrics were understandable for me and many of the songs told a story or took a stand about a topic.

Glad to hear your appointment yesterday went good. Hopefully the good luck continues with future bills, etc.

New trending topic - AG Pam Bondi fired. Couldn't have happened to a better person, lol. Wonder who is next?

I agree. Music in the 70s was the best. I remember driving home from high school when Highway Star came out. I would turn up my radio as loud as it would go and totally freak out. Highway Star wasn't a lyrical masterpiece but no song has ever captured the teen spirit the way Highway Star does. It's 6 minutes of head thrashing heaven and it takes an hour for your body to stop shaking from it. Smoke on the Water was the big hit for Deep Purple but Highway Star was their greatest achievement. I think I'll go crank it right now. The neighbors are gonna to kill me...lol

I'm going to the dentist tomorrow morning. The dentist will have a heart attack when he sees me lol. I haven't been to the dentist since my open-heart surgery in 2022 because of covid and the blood thinners I've been on.

Well, that was a 4 mile walk for nothing. There were wind gusts of up to 50 mph to make the walk perfect. I spent an hour waiting at the dental office only to be told that my heart is too messed up for emergency dental treatment. They can't see me until I go to the ER and get clearance from a cardiologist. I'm not sure that I want to be seen by this dentist anyway. A lady walked out from the treatment room and she had a tissue over her mouth and was crying. The dentist looked like he was 90. It didn't exactly inspire confidence. Oh, and they want a payment of $1847 before they'll see me thanks to my wonderful insurance. I went to Medi-Cal on Wednesday so that this wouldn't happen but here I am. I guess I have to go to the ER on Monday. It's a 3 hour bus ride each way. They'll probably admit me like they always do. I'll get yelled at by the cardiologist because I've been off of my meds for 2 weeks. Now I have to figure out how I handle the pain for the weekend. I just took my last Norco but it's only 5 mg so it won't do anything. I have some extra strength Tylenol but it usually doesn't do much. I have marijuana gummies. They should help with the pain but they also make me very high. It's going to be a long weekend.

Oh, man, dental pain is the worst. I'm so sorry you have to go through all this.
I'm not sure if you mentioned the specific problem but if its a sore tooth or gum area, a whole clove is effective for controlling pain & slightly numb the area. Bite down on it if its a tooth, place it against tissue if not.
I worked briefly for a dentist when I was 20, Dr. Mohler (pronounced molarBig Grin) and learned it from him.

Missusg, it's doing it again. It won't let me reply to you. It's two teeth, one on each side. I had some granola a couple of days ago and it destroyed my mouth. If I try to bite down, you'll hear my scream at your house. Thank you and Dr Molar for the advice. I'll look for clove when I go to Vons. Unfortunately, my dentist is Dr Payne and he's not very nice.

We were going to an outdoor market today that they only have once a month, but unfortunately it is a very rainy day. The market may still be open, but it's huge, about 30 miles away and we haven't been in awhile so we don't know how bad it would be.

I guess, instead, I'll head over to Dollar General when the rain lets up a bit. We need soda. Wink

I just had a jolt of pain that knocked me on my ass. I took a sip of water and it went right up into my nerve. The level of pain is insane. It feels like I have an abscess. Monday morning can't come soon enough but the real question is how quickly I can see the dentist. My cardiologist has to see me first and sign off on the dental care and then I have to find a dentist who will treat me with my insurance. I have a Share of Cost that's around $2000 so I'll probably have to pay it upfront. That's ok, I'd pay a million dollars (if I had it) to not be in this pain. I took some extra strength Tylenol this morning but it didn't do anything. I went to step 2, which is to take some gummies but they haven't kicked in yet. I don't have a step 3 so step 2 had better work.

If you start throwing up, call 911 and go straight to the hospital. I've had - and almost died from - an abcess one time, and if you get to the throwing up stage you literally only have hours before it can kill you. Of course I didn't know that at the time, but I was lucky to have everything fall into place to keep me alive. It's also the time I learned - after the surgery - that I had developed a life threatening allergy to ibuprophen based products.

I have plenty of cloves and was going to offer to mail you some, but it sounds like your level of pain and the advancement of the abcess is too much for this to get to you in time for it to be of any use. Schnauzermomma is right. If it's that bad. you should get immediate attention. I had an abcess once, went into the dentist and they called the endodontist and sent me right over for an emergency root canal the same afternoon. It sounds like you need one, and they may have to prescribe anitbiotics before you can have the procedure done (depending on the level of infection in the abcess), so if you can get to an urgent care center today that's probably the cheapest route to get cleared to see a dentist the soonest.
