I've been waiting forever for the price of this fan to drop. It's been $200 every time I've checked since it was released over a year ago.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this is not a plug-in fan. But I'll strive to find a plug-in fan for $30 or less and post the deal as soon as I can.

I almost bought a plug in fan for $30 on Amazon during the Prime sale but I've been waiting for this one to go on sale. Heck, I guess my hand can do the same thing for free.

Yes, it is hybrid so it can be used with batteries or plugged in and this deal is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for posting! I bought one.

What's the sell on this, other than being very portable? In need of a fan for the garage, but want to get something that will hold up long-term. I'd rather buy a $150 fan than 5 $30 fans that will keep crapping out.

So if you plug it in while it has a battery in it, does it charge the battery too... That would be worthwhile.

It does not act as a charger for the battery.

Even at the sale price, this is pretty expensive for a fan. For people who are wondering why or if they should get this fan, you might be better off getting one of Ridgid's smaller fans. They're much cheaper and will give you an idea of whether you can benefit from having a breeze without dealing with having access to outlets or extension cords. This drum fan is just a scaled-up version of those smaller fans.

I have one of the smaller ridgid fans. Also 2 hart ones from when Walmart had them on sale. We use them all the time for the kids outdoor sports and also take them out when we play golf. I ordered one of these to use for the same things.

These are great for my kids baseball games. I leave one in the dugout to keep the ids cool between innings.

I received mine and am impressed by it. It is heavier than it looks, at least to me, but perhaps that is a good thing. Specs list the weight at 23 lbs. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves, and no annoying out-of-balance wobbling at any speed setting. Looking forward to using it next summer.

Yeah, the BRUSHLESS part of the description makes this a much better fan than any $30 plug-in fan, without question. They missed a great opportunity to make this premium by including the ability to charge the battery while plugged-in. That's a Makita level of premium! 😅😂😣
What kind of run times are people getting with these while using on the batteries?

Yes, the brushless motor was the big selling point for me. I like it better than the Milwaukee version, at least on paper (more CFM, more speed settings), and there is no comparison once you factor in the lower price and the lifetime service of the Ridgid. The smaller Milwaukee fan has a brushless motor though, something I wish my smaller Ridgid fan had.
