my dad is a very light data user. home-bound pretty much all day. But I still think 1.5 GB is too little for the entire year for his occasional grocery shopping trips outside. The phone is a good one though. Very tempting...
You can always add 3GB of data with 1000 reward points or $10 to bump up his data bucket. Is he currently on Tracfone?

The spec at walmart.com [walmart.com] says Android 14. Does anyone know how many Android updates may be offered for this phone, if any?
Got 2 last year from Straight Talk deal for $45+$30 second line. Already End of OS support with Android 15 update released in January 2025. Only security updates till March, 2027 now

The phone will work on Visible out of the box locked. the IMEI passes AT&T BYOD/Cricket checks since earlier this year once it unlocks you can use it on AT&T and other providers with Physical SIM or ESIM.

Do you get to keep your existing minutes, texts and data you already have with tracfone is you transfer your number to this one?
Yes, your existing Tracfone mins/texts/data will get combined with this offer. Your plan expiration will also get extended for 1 year.

Interesting in this deal. Once it unlocks after 2 months, can I give it to my parents who live overseas and use the sim/plan in another unlocked phone in the US? The second US phone will be old and will only used for emergency purposes. TIA

If I activate on TracFone and then replace it with my Visible sim will it still unlock after 60 days? Or does TracFone sim need to be in the whole time?

Tracfone doesn't matter once activated just don't put it in another phone. You can try ESIM for Visible and run dual sims.

On the WM page, under "at a glance" it says MOTO G Power 2025. Under "view all specs" it also says 2025.

I got the deal last year (for cheaper than this) and although the deal(box?) said 2024 it was really a 2023 phone. I am sure this is going to be the 2024 phone - the WM title says 2024 but the details say 2025. I am sure 2024.

Not available in store? It's in stock near me. I was planning to go pick one up if it's the same price in-store.

I was about to pull the trigger on this but after researching looks like the One year plan won't count as paid service for the auto unlock, has anyone had any success with the One year plan to unlock a device?

You might want to upgrade your phone by the time the plan ends.

I am going to answer some of your questions and not other questions

I have owned this phone since Dec 2024 so like 10 almost 11 months ( moto g power 5g model number xt2415v … the v is for verizon / tracfone / total … yet I use it on mint / t mobile after unlocking it )

• current version per my about phone / device details is Android 15, google play version is sept 2025, android version august 2025

I do not know off hand how many updates are promised, I can look it up later but not at the moment. Other Questions can I answer spontaneously.

one thing that I want to point out
  • this has a hardened scene but it attracts scratches more than the last 4 phones. I recommend a case that covers the screen or a glass screen protector.
this has been my best android phone so far, yet I found one flaw (see above), I was concerned about the soc with it using non qualcomm radios but I have not had a downside concerning that so far.
