why buy this when you can just buy a right angle attachment for $20? it's smaller and can fit in tighter spaces anyways

I've spent $60 wrecking $20 right angle drill attachments and was at the store shopping for another one yesterday. Kinda wish I had just splashed out. Boy would this be nicer for drilling wire holes through studs.

If you have an occasional need to run wires through tight stud bays use a right-angle adapter. If doing quantity, invest in a hole hawg

This thing is great for drilling out junction boxes for adapters. I just leave my step bit in it. perfect for top plates.

Is this the same DeWALT I saw dominate a Ridgid 1/2" right angle on Tinker With Tools this morning? https://youtu.be/cXZHg5dISKU?si=JJbAhlLI98GkPBB5

Except that is only true if the right angle attachment is long enough to reach in there from an open space.

You can operate it with single hand.

Probably people trying to use this little 3/8 drill like it's the way more powerful stud and joist drill.

For screws yes but for drilling the attachment is hard to use.

I burned one of these up running electrical in a 900 sq ft apartment my parents built in a shop/barndominium. If you use it infrequently its probably fine but after 4 or 5 studs it started to smoke and I had to let it cool awhile. Eventually it died.
