How does this one compare to the Lowe's set? That one is $3 more but 50-pieces in total. I wonder which one works better.

About the same quality for an average user. The kobalt gives you more while making better use of space in the case. I like kits like this in my car for quick fixes on the go. The craftsman just wasted space in the case.Craftsman isn't the huge brand it once was, it's just black and Decker's lower end tools compared to their higher quality DeWalt tools, etc.
