About this Game:
  • Fear, combat, exploration, and item management: these are the four pillars of survival horror, a genre that has never been more masterfully executed than in the gameplay of Resident Evil. The horror continues in the ground-breaking Resident Evil 7. Step into the new Isolated View and experience true survival horror in a world created by the all-new RE Engine.
  • When Ethan Winters opened his inbox, the last thing he expected was to find an email from his wife; she had been missing for three years. The message was simple: "Come get me," and an address in Louisiana. This leads Ethan to a decrepit mansion in the heart of the bayou. The place has a seriously creepy vibe, but Ethan continues his search – until a stranger attacks him and knocks him unconscious. Ethan has no idea what awaits him when he wakes up...for he is now in the clutches of the Baker family.

It's a great game in both flat screen and in VR. Unfortunately this version has no VR implementation.

It's pretty freaky in VR. Not only are the enemies in your face, but you also have scale. The tall creatures look pretty big in VR. I'm hoping they add VR to the PS5 version, like they eventually did with Resident Evil Village.

There is a point very early in the game where you wake up and you are sitting at the dinner table with a family. They are all looking at you. That point right there is where I had complete buy-in with VR. My mind was totally tricked - I was there. It was insanely cool and extremely scary. This game is still one of the very best VR experiences. And oh yes, it is very scary. The VR makes it even more intense.

Why does this show up on my home screen near the top as "Found 4 hours ago," only to click the link and see it was posted two days ago?

I have the PS4 version and only played it briefly. If I wanted to start again, do I get a free upgrade to ps5, or do I need to buy it again?

If you actually own the game or disc, you should get a free PS5 version upgrade. If you redeemed it via PS Plus, you will have to pay to upgrade it.
