The $99 deal was for the 230 piece set while this is the 262 piece set. It looks like you get 8 more standard sockets, 9 more deep sockets, 3 more combination wrenches, 8 more bit sockets, 1 more extension, 2 spark plug sockets and 2 adapters with the 262 piece set.

The main thing I see is the 3/8 sockets are more complete on the 262 piece set and go from 6mm to 19mm no skips in standard and add 2 deeps in 18mm and 19mm.

If anyone wants to see the differences these 2 PDFs on Lowe's site have the specifics.

As mentioned above, Lowes had the 230 piece set on sale. Ace had that same set for $99 and the 262 piece set for $119. Could have purchased two $50 gift certificates and gotten two $10 gift certificates at Ace. Doing so, the 262 would have been $99. Or at least that is what I did. I needed the 24mm socket and the 262 piece set has it while the 230 piece does not.
