How does this beer compare to the Polk s2? Which is better?
I tried the S2 and ended up returning it since it didn't offer comparable sound to this Samsung soundbar.

It's not fair to say getting a much more expensive sound bar is the obvious choice.

Something like a sound bar, regardless of it being $100 or $500+, it will most definitely sound better than stock tv speakers.

I say, get what fits in your budget. I habe a lower end vizeo sound bar from like 10 years ago, sounds wayy better than stock tv speakers. Overdoing it on sound bar speakers seems easy to do, basic ones will suffice for most people, just my opinion

Lack of subwoofer aside, this or the Bose soundbar?

I have the Samsung HW-Q7CB 3.1.2ch Soundbar w/ Dolby Atmos and it more than meets my needs for watching TV.

That would be extra 300, is it really worth it?
The sub makes it a night and day difference. Definitely worth it.

Bose and get the sub
Does it need to be the Bose subwoofer or could it be another brand?

I ended up sifting through the manuals for both models, thanks to you for linking the website to each. It seems the Sam's model has the PS-WC67B subwoofer, which is slightly larger and heavier than the Walmart model's PS-WC45B (12lbs vs 8.8lbs respectively). I couldn't find any information on either beyond that (maybe my Google skills have gotten rusty). The other noticeable difference I found in the documentation was the inclusion of DTS VIRTUAL:X on the Sam's model vs the lack of mention on the Walmart model. Not sure if that is a dealbreaker.I'm inclined to believe that the Sam's model is mishmash of components from various inventory with firmware configured to play nicely together (obv I can't guarantee that's the case). That being said, adding the recommended rear setup to the Walmart model looks like it'd cost another $150 and a quick search between the SWA-9200s and SWA-9100 doesn't suggest much of a difference between both. I'm personally biting on the Sam's version for the $299 price it's at rn.
Is the $299 price an in-store price at Sam's? Show's $349 online

whats better this or B-series 3.1ch. DTS Virtual:X Soundbar w/ Bass Boost / HW-B650?
I have the B-series, bought last year. When I was at Best Buy, B-series sounds a million times better than the more expensive Samsung Q-series. I returned the Q-series and live the b.3.1.

Just a silly question. How are these perform as computer speakers for gaming? I have an external DAC. Would it even be possible to use it with an external sound card?

Missed it. Seem's BJ's also had the same model on sale, wonder if they will price match. Also I have the 9200s rears on another soundbar, they only require to be plugged into a power outlet and connect to the soundbar wirelessly. The 9100s are wired to a wireless hub. So a little less flexibility

I use a Sonos beam as my computer speaker so this should be fine. If it has Bluetooth then you good to go. I had to buy a internal soundcard with a optical output to be able to use the Beam since it doesn't have Bluetooth.

I've had one for over a year. It's a solid soundbar. It gets very loud and has really good clarity. Paired with the 9200S rears and it really transforms it
