This is a Thunderbolt monitor. For Thunderbolt 3/4 the limit is 40 Gbits per second, really 32.4 Gbits for DisplayPort 1.4 uncompressed.
5120 × 2880 (5K resolution) x 30 (bits per pixel) x 60 (hz) = 26,542,080,000 = 26.5 Gbit.
If you wanted to do 120 Hz, that would be 53 Gbit, which exceeds the limit of Thunderbolt 3/4.
It is likely you would need a Thunderbolt 5 version of this monitor, or a DisplayPort 2.0 version, in order to get 5K at much higher refresh rates.

Samsung 27" S9 Viewfinity 5k, using one now with new Mac mini M4, purchased the monitor last summer from Samsung paid $500.
Now you can get one in the ~= $650 range

I love the height adjustable model so much. It's like the iMac G4, but better. It's so smooth. This is might be my favorite over-priced purchase.
