Would a 60v grinder really make much of a difference vs my 20v grinder? Trying to imagine any time I've felt I needed more from it.

Try grinding welds with a 6" disk. That's what I got mine for.

So you never stall your 20v? I can't stand using a 20v for cutting thick steel or heavy material removal. This grinder doesn't stall. It doesn't feel like a cordless tool, power wise. I like the 20v for finish work because it's smaller and lighter, but it doesn't hold a candle to the dcg418.

I've never personally used this grinder but from what I've seen i don't think any other cordless grinder can compare

thanks for the answer, not sure I'll ever get into anything like that, but now I kind of want to purchase. But I think this might be one tool I am able to prevent myself from pressing the buy button for( maybe ).

So this is a good deal but this deal has been on since October. I bought it for the battery and returned the grinder. The battery ended up costing me $112 for a 9AH flexvolt. I have a table saw and a miter saw that use the Flexvolt battery.

I used my 20v to go through solid concrete steps, cut channels in them, as far as I remember it didn't hesitate. I'd -guess- your situation would be easier.

Alot of insecure 20v users in here with buyers remorse that they didn't buy the 60v. This is a tool where more power actually matters and the 60v blows away the 20v. unless you are only cutting through wood or thin sheet metal this 60v is better in almost every way and won't bog down or hesitate. This deal with a free flexvolt battery is a steal and I would recommend anyone that uses an angle grinder upgrade to this 60v model and sell your old 20v unless you are a DIYer that only uses it seldomly.

yes it does make a huge difference with this tool, the 20v version will work for simple tasks but if you are ever cutting hard stone or thick metal the 60v will do the job quicker, safer, and better. This 60v has about as much power as the corded version the 20v does not. I would say the power difference is much greater, I have both this and the 20v version that I never use anymore and the difference is night and day for heavy duty tasks.

yes ceramic tile is not very hard, if you have porcelain tile it may be more of a challenge, as it is much harder, and a good scenario where the 60v would be worth the upgrade. Even then the 20v should get through it with the correct blade but this 60v version will cut through it faster and safer due to the higher RPM and power.
