This ports well to the Switch but to me 'Commando' does NOT age well at all. Racer is still a blast but can be finished in an afternoon. If you want to max out all the racers, do 'mirrors' of all the courses, etc then there is a lot of reply value. I 100 percent'ed the game so many times on the N64 and Windows 25 years ago I didn't feel the need to do that again on the Switch. Might have also help me run through it faster in the modern age.

This is a physical game so you can basically resell for near full price on eBay once you are done playing....crazy how Switch games hold their used value.

This ports well to the Switch but to me 'Commando' does NOT age well at all. Racer is still a blast but can be finished in an afternoon. If you want to max out all the racers, do 'mirrors' of all the courses, etc then there is a lot of reply value. I 100 percent'ed the game so many times on the N64 and Windows 25 years ago I didn't feel the need to do that again on the Switch. Might have also help me run through it faster in the modern age.

I replayed Commando a few years ago. Honestly the squad mechanic holds up better than most modern games with squads such as Halo 5

I'll take that in mind, played it on the Switch which seemed to ruin certain games for me that I discovered I loved once I tried again on the Steam Deck. Mainly FPS's / TPS's. Not sure why, might have been the lack of gyro for most games that really needed it. Now, I never did like the squad stuff in Halo. My comrades were always more annoying then they were worth.

Looks like Commando is only $2 on PC. Might pick that up today, thanks!

I played republican commando and it was clunky and visually unappealing. I wanted to like it just for the SW universe but couldn't progress. I stopped after 1 hour of trying.

Some switch games have poor resale value. Obviously 1st party title retains the most.

I used to have Rebublic Comando on CD. Might still have it kicking around. It's been quite some time since I played it, so I have no clue if it's still any good.

I remember Racer being SO hard back in the day. Starts off easy but by 3rd or so tourney, it seemed impossible. My pod racer stats would always go down too. I don't know how you beat this game ..

You were right, bought the PC version and it is quite good. Last time I tried Commando was on the Switch and didn't like it at all. But the Switch is also great for ruining a good first person game.
