Everyone will tell you that this saw does not accept dado stacks, and technically they are right. But there is a Freud blade that will cut 1/4 or 3/8 box joints and works flawlessly on this saw. If you need bigger cuts than that, you probably want/need a bigger saw. However for most home-owners, diyers and even contractors, this saw is more than enough. I have used it to build all my custom closets, multiple cabinets, my deck, put cedar on soffits, a shed, and lots of other substantial projects. At this price it's a solid buy.

Here is the Freud blade I mentioned

Very tempting! I almost decided to get Sawstop compact and now this deal came! I have a tiny space left in the garage and not going to build any table soon so I need some kind of stand as well.

Great deal but I'm a Milwaukee dude
This is the best saw in this size on the market. Period. And only a complete dolt would skip over a phenomenal deal on a best-in-class tool out of some sort of "brand loyalty".

I believe this is the lowest price I have seen in past couple of years. I got his combo from home Depot at 329 two years ago.

Seems like a really good deal but I'm a Harbor Freight guy.

I have the 10" version with the same stand. Highly recommend it if you need something portable and/or are constrained by space (I store mine under my workbench).

That would be a valid point if this were a battery tool but…

Awesome saw
Got it for $250 without the stand and it's incredibly accurate for a job site saw, easy to work with and the rack and pinion fence is phenomenal.

Yes, but obviously, a larger saw with a larger top would be easier to do such cuts.
