Depends on what you do with it... some companies make holders for these to turn it into an upright bandsaw. I use mine to cut square, round, 90, straight steel.

Yes, make sure you register within 90 days. Easiest way is to register your tool online with Ridgid and then chat with customer service to get LSA (lifetime service agreement) approved.

Swag and others I'm sure make stands for this but it's usually for a corded. I mean I guess you could fix it to a stand. They have cheaper ones I think.

We have a dewalt at work I as a bandsaw by clamping it into the benchvise. There's a hand little piece bend of thick steel there on the Dewalt but I don't see it on this one. If it had that I might actually bite.
