Seems like a great deal if you want a power stack. Buy the grinder and just keep the battery kit.

That's the cheapest "hackable" way to get the battery - makes it $69.14 with the charger

These are the prices I'm seeing if you hack the deal.

Drywall gun $74.50
Rotary Hammer $130.33
Jigsaw $113.80
Grinder $59.86
Cheapest Battery is with the grinder for $69.14
Circular saw $97.69

Isn't letting me to the Reciprocating saw for some reason.

Project Farm's tests seemed to show it's the power equivalent of a 5ah with a slightly smaller size and weight than the traditional 2ah. https://youtu.be/DTKRK1RInFw

The deal title is actually a little misleading. You don't get a free tool with the battery kit, you get a free battery kit with the purchase of select tools, innit.

Whether you buy online or in the store, the battery and tool will show as separate line items on the receipt. You're able to return either item and keep the remaining one.

Is the XR recip saw significantly better than the Atomic version? i like the ergonomics of the Atomic but if the XR is significantly better i'll go for that. im just a homeowner/diyer who'll be using it for yard work and the occasional 2x4. thanks.

XR Barrel grip is a really good deal. Haven't seen this price in over 2 years.

Also great deal for new power stack battery!

What advantage do the Powerstack batteries provide, besides weight savings? I have 4 and 5 aH batteries now.

I just hacked the Amazon Dewalt deal, bare tool + (2) 5ah XR batteries and charger, for the batteries only, came out to $104. Also hacked the $199 HD deal on Atomic 1/2 impact ($110) returned the XR 5ah battery. The logic: I wanted the Atomic 921 impact but couldn't get it at Amazon with the two XR 5ah batteries.

Thanks OP, glad to see tool deals on SD.

Not necessarily a fair comparison since XR>Atomic. Personally prefer the DCS367 compact recip saw. If you can live with the tool being less heavy duty, the Atomic is lighter, more compact and in most cases, cheaper.
