If anyone has any GC's left from the Black Friday promos, may wanna use them ASAP. I went to use one of the GC I got, and it was drained. I called the 800 number on the card, and they said the full amount was used in California. They are investigating my issue.

I read somewhere about a GC scam where hackers figured out the algorithm to the GC coding and ripped off lots of people without anyone even knowing until like you they attempted to use their legit GC.
I dont get lots of GC's but I always check the balance immediately and if not used relatively swiftly I check the balances on a regular basis.

Try not to purchase gift cards which don't have both a gift card number and PIN. Gift cards issued by a company that only has a gift card number without a PIN are ripe for fraud, and the type you should never hold onto after purchasing. Rather than pointing a finger at "gift cards purchased at ShopRite," point the finger at businesses who still issue gift cards without PINs and have websites to check balances without some sort of CAPTCHA security to limit the risk of hacks that drain funds. It's never a pleasant experience to deal with the aftermath of such fraud, but you can avoid purchasing gift cards from companies who issue gift cards with insecure balance check websites and/or card numbers without a PIN.

Has anyone purchased the McCain quick cook fries that are on sale for $1.49 with a $1 eQ also available? I bought the plain cut variety and the eQ didn't come off. If you've had the eQ work can you please report which you bought (UPC would be great). I didn't have time to go to CS to see if they could do anything helpful so I just had them take them off my order. Thank you in advance.

Shell gift cards are particularly bad. I had some that I had bought at S&S and they got hacked. Fortunately Shell replaced them. Look for the ones where the number isn't fully exposed. I found that the ones at Staples and Lowe's are different and are not as exposed.

I bought the McCain Quick Cook Straight Cut French Fried Potatoes (0 72714 00663 0) today and my $1 eQ came off.

I bought crinkle cut version but they also had waffle version and the normal plain cut shoestring type but we prefer the crinkle.upc 7271400662 on crinkle cut 20 oz package

If you are buying MCCAIN fries this week, there's a new 750 point pop up offer on FETCH (worth 75c) on each package, limit 3. However, each of the 3 must be on its own receipt.

I knew ahead of my trip and just rang each bag up on it's own transaction, scanned the 3 receipts and got the 2250 points. Made them 1/2 price. While Quick Cook is a good deal, they also have about 8G of fat in them compared to the 3-3.5 g of fat in the type we like to get so passed on them.

Shoprite has Buitoni fresh pasta on sale for $1.89 a package (Fettuccine and Linguini) this week. There is an APP rebate for $1.25 (Max 5) and a $1.00 CAT when buying two. That makes it $.14 a package when buying two. Note that buying 4 in a single purchase will not get you two $1.0 CATS.
