OT but Acme shoppers they're back at it again - just got another $5/5 purchase q for the new week. They're rapidly becoming our favorite store lol. Closer than Shoprite, smaller store (easy to shop), can always get on the bottle deposit machines to recycle our cans, and now these weekly bonuses! Last week we got a free rotisserie chicken. Their regular prices are a bit higher for most things but we've been mostly shopping their ads.

There's a new $1 Fage sour cream offer (limit 2) in Ibotta. Bought 2 on Sunday and submitted this morning and received the $2 credit. Free sour cream with eQ!

Yes Acme is trying and it seems the long term pricing contracts they were involved in with the previous owners are starting to be renewed with the new owners purchasing power. Acme also has a large pension commitment it alone carries now that all the other members of that pension have all gone bankrupt, there have been a few articles written about it. I still remember 2 owners ago when they had great OYNO deals, the best was being getting paid $5 to get 3 large bottles of Dove shampoo, stocked up the freezer for the summer on that one.

I generally don't freeze my shampoo, but I guess on a hot summer day , cold shampoo for the head might be refreshing.

Yes I took the $5 OYNO I made from buying the shampoo and bought meat with it, and froze it all. The Acme haba manager ordered me extra bottles of shampoo so I was buying a lot and was able to get a lot of meat.

And just for reference my Aldi prices are: Cherries $1.89 (We just picked 6 pounds of fresh from the local orchard, higher price put so fresh and good) Red grapes $.89, Strawberries $1.39, Mangos $.69. Guess they like to nickle and dime my area but I have a lidl opening up across the street from my Aldi's so hopefully this makes for some good old fashion price wars lol.

Shoprite's search is complete garbage, I searched "tide" and not a single result about the detergent.
Also,did Shoprite stop with pricing mistakes making an item free,as a SR manager told me they ended it with covid,is this really so or was it a SR employee who is misinformed?

I think it may depend on where you live? I know it's a law here in CT so all the stores have to do it.

I can't say for certain. All I know is that in CT they have to give it to you for free up to $20. They are signs up as you enter every store - CVS, SnS, SR - however both CVS and SnS are not very good at honoring it, at least around here. They try to get away with just giving you the price difference, you have to actually ask for it for free.
