Yeah, it;s been horrible recently. SR CS at their 800# knows nothing. But they did say they would have the owners of the store contact me. They will get an earful from me if that ever happens. Then I called Catalina and got a less-than Rhodes Scholar on the phone who did tell me that my store has been offline and this was called in on the 17th. Well, I shopped on the 20th and it still didn't work (didn't work on the 13th either). I have no idea if I can rely on anything she said...because she also said she was opening two tickets for the two items I had a problem with and that I would get an email. There is no email. I can't do anything with Catalina anyway since I don't have a cell phone to send a copy of the receipt. It has certainly been frustrating.

BTW, we've had those new machines for a few months already. The machines were on, but apparently not connected to the servers...at least not all the machines--I did see a few Cats around, so maybe some registers were working. Really strange.

One new Cat:

The rule here is you need to show ID if purchasing more than $200 or multiple gift cards in one transaction., although some cashiers seem to ask all the time. A while ago, they were matching the ID against the card used for payment (if using debit/credit) to make sure you weren't using a stolen/forged card, but now they're just checking ID. I'm not sure what that proves by checking just ID alone.

Reminds me of one of the Stop & Shop stores around here. After they updated the SCO registers, I've NEVER received a Cat there, even though it's been probably over a year, so I need to go to a cashier for any transactions where I'm expecting a Cat. Machine is on, light is lit indicating it's ready, but nothing ever prints. You'd think they'd do something about it. Ibotta users... check your bonuses. I have a $10/10 expiring Christmas morning. The 5 repeats of the Fage sour cream already got me halfway there, so it will still overall be a MM even if I "lose" a little money on other rebates to reach the required 10. (I've done two repeats of the Luna bar so far, which only cost $0.50 after the Ibotta rebate, so that's a good one to help reach the 10.) I also have a $20/70 for the month, but there's no way I'm going to complete that one laugh out loud

The Purex is those little roundish balls you throw into the washing machine. For $.77 it's a decent price.

Regular price for Melitta cans is $4.99 so even without coupons it's a good deal for premium coffee. It's on the first page of next week's ad so I think it's a loss leader.I just got my ad and it's in the NJ ad as well-first page top right!

I was buying the Peet's coffee at Stop & Shop. Reg price is $9.99 and they were on sale for weeks at $6.99. I used my $20 CATS from buying Amazon gift cards plus I had ordered $2/1 coupons so I could get 4 Peet's with a $20 CAT.

It's actually limit 4 per variety, so you could get a lot if you want to get different types.

Did anyone's ShopRite NOT remove all the TJX gift cards? They disappeared from all the stores i frequent in northern Bergen county right after Thanksgiving. Not even empty hooks on the shelves, it's as if they never existed.

Yes, Melitta is regular coffee. It is, however, finely ground. You use 2 Tablespoons (one coffee scoop measure) per 3 cups instead of the usual per 2 cups.
I started buying it when a relative was using it and I liked it. At that time, SR sold the Decaf Hazelnut Creme. Now they only sell one or the other but not the Decaf flavored type.
Its not a real strong coffee, I don't care for those, so I wouldn't use it if it were very strong.
You can check SFH for different blends your store carries.
