How about sharing all the great deals we get at shoprite here? Let's just keep this one thread until we get "bigger". Please, post your best deals.

WIKI should have all the weekly deals and we'll keep this thread just one. All are encouraged to add any coupons/deals to such. Happy Shopping!!!

Thanks to Shannon..
Will post more later if I can find anything. It's actually quite depressing to try and look for stuff without ecoupons. I think I am in "mourning".

It might still be nice to see them to see which one works better, also if you only have a couple coupons you could use both coupons and ecoupons to purchase . If it wouldn't be to much trouble, thanks in advance.

E coupons are shown in the paper and online ads next to the sale product. You, or anyone can match them up for yourself or post here if you'd like.

Strictly from a Savingstar perspective, one would be better off using paper q's vs. EQ's beginning next week.

I was wondering about Shoprite from Home since I have never used it. Are there any coupons for first time users? If they are out of an item for the promotion does that mean you lose the value of the promotion? Do you get a regular receipt you can use for Ibotta? Should I connect my Shoprite card? And do most people tip? Thanks.

There's probably a state agency you can complain to. or a consumer protection agency.

Unfortunately the only way things get fixed is making noise. We all pay enough in taxes, paying tax that simply goes into SR's pocket isn't my idea of fun. If ShopRite isn't going to fix it on their own, perhaps pressure from an outside source will get it addressed.
It does not go into Shoprite's pocket. It gets remitted to the state. Shoprite gets a report that indicates taxable items (and the report comes from the POS system) and remit accordingly. They are also audited. Never want to risk sales tax or payroll tax.

Bottled water - taxable in NYS: https://www.tax.ny.gov/pubs_and_b...t_food.htm

Generally, stores like Shoprite do not program items individually - information is provided in bulk from Wakenfern who probably contacts with a service to determine taxability.

Thanks for that. Taxing bottled water is ridiculous, since it is often used for emergency situations like boil water notices, power outages, and the like. H2O is a necessity and tap water is not always a reliable source.

Oh, I know what you mean...I know I'll be buying far fewer items, especially stuff I really don't need.
RIP, the good old days of Shop Rite deals.

On the water issue, there's no tax on still water in NJ, only sparkling types or seltzer.

At one point my SR was charging a bottle deposit fee on Powerade when CT is not one of the states included (some weird quirk the Coke lobbyists got away with - only bottled water (still/sparkling/flavored) and soda have the bottle tax here). I complained to CS and immediately got a panicked look from the manager who happened to be nearby and overheard. A look of "oh no holy crap" as they do get audited. Needless to say I got my $0.40 back, a real apology, and it was fixed by the next day. As of late the system hasn't been charging the $0.05 deposit fee on Vitaminwater (which it should). I should really alert CS but the economizer in me can't bring myself to complain about not being charged $0.05!

So if we clip the e-coupon but don't use it because the paper coupon is better will Savingstar work? I know in the past if I bought two of something (one with an e-coupon) I didn't get credit anyway.

EQ is hit or miss for getting a S* credit if it's clipped, even if it's not used, as I have personally experienced, while paper q have yet to cause problems of being credited.

I wonder if unclipping an ecpn would even work. Per the rules posted a few pages back, the computer will automatically credit the higher of either paper or ecpn. I guess if you know in advance that your paper coupon is better, best not to even clip the ecpn if S* is involved. They are so unpredictable when it comes to credit. And, yes, meadowglen, you cannot buy two items and get S* credit if you had an ecpn for even one--at least not at the same store. Apparently as soon as S* recognizes an ecpn for something, it blocks any credit from them.

speaking of unclipping ecoupons. I wish they had that option in the phone app as sometimes you find a deal and if you had the option, then you could just do that. I don't have any faith in their ability to recognize the higher coupon.

I tried unclipping the ShopRite ecoupon I added Sunday and then adding the Thermacare Savingstar offer to my account, but was not credited with Savingstar on my purchase. I think the only way to guarantee Savingstar is to not clip an ecoupon beforehand.
