Oxiclean $2 digital just showed up in my account. Clip away!
Thanks for the h/u! My food bank will thank you!1 The #1 highly demanded item is laundry detergent (and rarely donated!). When I see a good deal on detergent I am on it. I think I probably donate 80% of the stuff I get @ SR. I don't need much. I know I am weird but it makes me happy to pack up boxes for the food bank.

I did well today with Lysol, finish, earthbound farms and schick. The Schick digital did NOT come off but I lucked out and got the money back from CS. I go the $4.99 Hydro in a box. Maybe that was the problem. Earthbound farms had to be marked down to $2.99. I got the $3 CAT on the Lysol, finish with no issues.

The Black + Blue box did not.

Think you're being a little dramatic, the 'new' offers are typically the first ones you scroll to on SStar, and usually no more than 5-10 new ones at a time, so you just quickly click all of the unchecked ones and you're done with it. The ones in question are never ShopRite ones that have been maxed out (like Tena), we are talking the meds like Robitussin, Dimetapp, ThermaCare, Centrum, etc.

If you know there's a good chance of double dip, just clip the obvious ones at SR like Tena that go quickly and save the rest for a later 'clipping' after the new Savingstars are up on Sunday AM.
This makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing your strategy.

Costs of doing biz is much more in NYC than many of the suburban areas. There was a time, years ago when stores in NYC doubled Q's, but that is old history now. Best advice, move.

Is this a known fact? I just called the closest store to me and they said they do double Qs. I might have to rethink my transaction if they actually don't.

My son has insisted that the last two packages of deli meat we've gotten from SR are bad.The first time, I just took it back and didn't question him (I don't eat it).
The second time, I took a sniff and smelled nothing wrong.

I think he's getting hung up on the date on the package - which says "sell by Feb. 4 -- the date they sold it to me.

He insists they should not be selling us something that is past its sell-by date literally the next day.

I haven't read up on sell-by dates at deli counters, so I can't counter him with accurate info. Anyone know what deli counter rules are? (I know that sell-by dates, in general, are guidelines and not hard and fast, but my kids are amazingly rigid about this one thing, at least kids these days, and they'll throw out anything even a day old)

Is this lunchmeat sliced in store and then wrapped up for you?

If so then the date isn't a sell by it's a reference date for when it was sliced and sold to you. Generally sliced lunchmeat have 3-7 days if properly stored, cheeses and cured meats can go a little longer. The labels machines and the preformated labels are not programed for each individual product but general product type (they get 5 D&W bolognas in, each with different dates, no way to program for that)

Now whole lunch meat in a deli has all sorts of codes and some do not have an expiration date while unsliced. Whole Opened Cured meats are by site as the curing process preserves the meat for ages, opened whole cheeses are generally 6 months, and all other meats a week or two if wrapped.

Once sliced moist meats 3-7 days, cheese & processed meats up to 1-2 weeks.
All this is if you keep them properly closed and in temp, leaving the package out all during lunch time will reduce the days it is good.

All lunch meat should pass the sight, smell, and touch test....if it looks bad, smells bad, or is excessively slimey then it's most likely bad.

Both myself and my other half have current food sanitation certificates (Servsafe).

Your son is wrong if he thinks the date on the package is it's experation is the bottom line.

If this was the $4 Schick, I had clipped it maybe Friday or Sat--just re-read the details, and it's not good of women's. Could that have been the problem?

thanks for the info; I will pass it on. suffice it to say that he might be right *now* that it is out of date (Feb. 4 slicing date), but it was certainly OK for most of last week.

I also shop at the Aberdeen location sometimes but haven't seen the 8 oz Eucerin there in a while. Is it in the usual shelf location or somewhere different?

I don't know where the Eucerin was. I sent the husband to get it and he said he went to Aberdeen Unless he got confused and went to Hazlet instead. All I know is that he came home with it. And the $5 CAT.

Any hints on how to sign up for the cabot coupons on common kindess. I've tried 10 times and gave up. Can't make heads or tails of why it's rejecting. The only thing I see is zip code not valid which I've put in a few different ones that are. Makes 0 sense.
