I'd recommend a USB audio interface for these like the Focusrite Scarlett or similar. Then you get the correct type of outputs for these studio monitors, volume control knob, and inputs for instruments / mics.

Yep, I'd recommend something like a used Artcessories CLEANBoxPro rca to xlr converter
Is it reasonable to think they are going to release a new model of these sometime in the near future? They seem incredibly behind the times in technology, and they were released apparently in 2018. No clue how often JBL releases new models though...
