When my first son was little, I used to take him to Toys R Us and they had this thing called 'Robosapiens' that was around $200 and he wanted it so bad, so I told him he could ask for it for Christmas. We were broke then, so it was really a big ask and I was doubtful he was old enough for the thing then, as the package said it had some insane amount of things you could program it to do, very high tech, and it had a button that made it dance and play a song. It was supposed to teach kids how to program. He was so excited when he got it, and the only f'ing thing he ever did with it was make it dance, he'd dance with it and laugh like crazy. He's 28 now and he's getting this $12 version for his birthday this year.
