Pros: looks clean, the key-free nickel is only $100 (black suede is $120), and integrates with apple home so you can lock and unlock through the home app.
Cons: eats batteries (said my batteries were low after only 2 months) and touch interface is annoying and not the most accurate. For the fingerprint/touch screen version, the number pad only lights up after you touch the fingerprint reader, so if you want to use just a code to unlock, you have to touch the fingerprint sensor first to "fail" at fingerprint and then wake up the keypad. This is an extra step to take just to use a code.
Another issue is the lack of physical feedback/response. Since this is all touch based, without any physical buttons, you can't tell if the lock has registered you touch, aside from some fairly quiet beeps and backlight that isn't very visible in bright light that are both easy to miss.
Also, if your first attempt at a fingerprint unlock fails, you HAVE to use a keycode on your second attempt. Only after a failed keycode unlock attempt fails, does the lock reset and allow you try your fingerprint again. This is probably the dumbest aspect of the lock. Terrible user experience/interface design.
When the battery drained after only 2 months, I decided to go with an ultraloq bolt series lock. I installed an older model u-bolt pro, but it worked perfectly, and has physical buttons in addition to the fingerprint sensor which allows you make repeat attempts to unlock with a fingerprint, and also allows you to use a keycode just by pressing physical buttons that you can feel a click when you press them.
