AI bubble! I agree a few years ago sub-$200 for something like this but nowadays even for older tech expect to pay $300+

I should have got a new laptop last year. I have seen that the laptop that I would like is about $300 more than last year for a model with the same specs. For the price that I want, the laptop has a smaller SSD and/or RAM, but it is not worth doing the upgrade path as I did with my last few laptops. Plus, some of the newer laptops are not upgradeable.
