28 oz can is usually about $3.50 at the grocery store, if you don't want to store a dozen cans. I typically use a full 28oz can in a batch of enchiladas anyway

Not sure what your point is. Your grocery store example is $0.125/oz, actually slightly more than OP price without SS ($0.123/oz) and even more expensive with max SS ($0.105/oz), and with this deal you get free delivery to your door, don't have to drive to (gas/time) or deal w/grocery store and lugging 28oz cans around. And, as you mention, having smaller cans is a lot more convenient for most use/storage cases.

Walmart has Las Palmas 28 oz green chile enchilada sauce for $2.97, so $0.106/oz, less than this. His point is the cost difference is minimal so maybe 12 10oz cans is more convenient, which you state after you state that you're not sure what his point is, so I'm not sure what your point is. I doubt anyone "lugs" around 12 28 oz cans. I buy 1 or 2 and have to store the sauce in the fridge because the 28 oz can is so large I don't use it all for several meals.

Welcome to the thread and welcome to SD! The example quoted a more expensive price per ounce, which I replied to. A TON of SDs on here can be found cheaper at local places at times (Costco Spam/Coffee for example), esp if we are talking bulk (i.e., 28oz cans) vs smaller cans, which almost always cost more (but in this case, don't). Also, your comment about me stating that 10oz cans are more convenient somehow makes my asking the commenter what the point of them posting a higher $/oz was is nonsensical. I said I didn't understand the point the poster was making because the poster quoted a HIGHER price than OP (which is as I said, unusual for a bigger can which also required driving to the store, to cost more per oz than shipped to your door in smaller, more convenient cans). If you don't like the deal, thumbs down it, fine. I'll take the 5 thumbs up so far, happy that some people found it a helpful deal. Finally, your example ($2.97 at $0.106/oz) is MORE expensive than this deal w/max SS as I pointed out in my reply to the first poster. PLUS, Walmart prices (unlike this deal) appear to be YMMV as my local Walmarts sell the 28oz for $3.47, consistent w/the first commentator's example which I replied to. https://www.walmart.com/ip/LA-VIC...8d6df28a44

You're comment was superfluous, and oh, $1.053333... is so much cheaper than $1.060. Plus the price fluctuates constantly on Amazon, I currently show $14.13 for this with S&S which is ~$0.12/oz, so Walmart having different prices is similar. You seem to think people don't regularly go to the grocery store and put forth that it is such a burden to drive to the store or have it shipped, which are non-sequiturs. By that same logic, you assume people are paying for Prime so there's no added expense of shipping. You say you don't know what his point is while he states it clearly, that not everyone wants to store a dozen cans, and then you counter his point by saying, "as you mention, having smaller cans is a lot more convenient for most use/storage cases," which is the opposite of his point as it's not the size of the can but the quantity of cans. You apparently know what everyone's storage desires are. By the way, the thumbs up are for the original post, not your superfluous comment, which I even considered but I didn't want to store a dozen cans either, especially when I don't use that much and can get it for $0.006666.../oz more locally.

So thanks for the original post but the rest was unnecessary.

You made a false statement (that $2.98 was cheaper than this deal, which it's not w/max SS). I also showed you that Walmart's price in some areas is higher than the arbitrary price you quoted. Amazon prices for products like this are the same nationwide, unlike 'grocery' stores. I did not use a (or multiple) non sequitur(s). My points are irrefutable - smaller cans are more convenient and better for freshness. This deal is cheaper than the grocery store example I replied to (and the Walmart price by me). It's still $12.64 w/max SS (it's not 'fluctuating' as you say). You don't have to spend money on gas or your time/effort to shop. Many people think my op is a good deal, even if you don't. So, your comment is what's unnecessary. I hope at some point you will become a valued, helpful member of this community, which is reflected by rep points, but everyone goes at their own pace as far as contributing. Best of luck!
